BBC makes it four in a row!

The 2002 Challenge Cup, conducted by the Impact Cricket Academy, saw BBC retain the title for the fourth consecutive year. The final was played at the Tennyson playing fields between BBC and Scotch College. Both teams entered the match undefeated following good performances in the pool games.

The match saw Scotch bat first, scoring 7/144 from 45 overs. BBC began the run chase well with an opening stand of 83 between Bennett Hodges (55no) and Simon Blood (35) before Graeme Skennar (42no) secured the win, in the 35th over with a six!

Congratulation to all players and coach, Mr David Biggs on another excellent effort.

The international U/16 one-day cricket tournament, conducted from 9-13 December, atttracted 10 teams and proved to be the largest and best event staged by the Academy.
